National Service Scheme
National Service scheme (NSS) is an association that aims to create a sense of social welfare for all sections and ages. It works to provide unbiased service to the society. The students (NSS volunteers) work together to ensure help for everyone in need.
The motto “Not Me, but You” reflects the essence of democratic living and upload s the need for selfless service. NSS is thus an association dedicated to serving the society.
The first duty of the students should be, not to treat their period of study as one of the opportunities for indulgence in intellectual luxury, but for preparing themselves for final dedication in the service of those who provided the sinews of the nation with the national goods and services so essential to society.”

Objectives:
To understand ourselves in relation to the community
To enhance leadership quality and democratic attitude in all members
To propagate the idea of a Clean and Green surroundings
To spread the need to maintain personal hygiene and good health
Enrollment in NSS:
NSS is a voluntary scheme. At college level the NSS volunteers will be enrolled from the first and second year degree – class students. An NSS volunteer need to devote a total of 240 hours social service in two years duration. Every year, a NSS volunteer has to devote 20 hours of orientation and 100 hours of community service. To enroll as volunteer, contact the NSS Programme Officer of college. The NSS volunteers on successful completion of the required hours of are issued a certificate from the university under the signature of the Vice-Chancellor and the Programme Coordinator.

Disaster Management
Awareness Rally
Swachh Bharat Aabhiyan
Programmes organized during birth and death anniversaries of National leaders
Participation in various community related activities.
Special Camping programme:
Camps of 7 days duration are organized in adopted villages/urban slums during vacations with some specific project by involving local community. Every year 50% of the volunteers of such NSS unit are expected to participate in the camps.
